How is acupucture performed?

Upon the first encounter, a consultation about your health issues and a check-up is needed, based on which we set up a treatment plan. Acupuncture treatment sessions last from 30 to 40 minutes. We insert thin acupuncture needles into specific points on your body, with the needles being sterile and not reusable. The insertion is usually painless, but you may feel a slight tension or sting as the needle pierces the skin. Usually, around 10 treatments are required, with the positive effect often felt already during the treatments themselves. There are almost no side and adverse effects. Very rarely, bruises or signs of local inflammation appear at the points of insertion. When the needles are inserted deeper, only exceptionally, vein or nerve injury could occur.

An increasing amount of research is published from the field of acupuncture, confirming its efficiency.
